Raw Material Origin

Our paper yarn is made from softwood pulp sourced through an FSC-certified supply chain. Traceability documents can be provided where required, with material composition confirmed for each paper yarn fabric.

Paper Yarn vs. Viscose

Both originate from wood pulp, but their production processes differ. Paper yarn is made by slitting and twisting paper, while viscose is produced by dissolving and regenerating cellulose through chemical spinning. Paper yarn is therefore a paper-based yarn, while viscose is a regenerated cellulose fibre

Recycling Pathway

Paper-yarn material may be repulped for recycling. For finished fabrics, the appropriate recycling route depends on the fibre blend, finishes and accessories.

End-of-Life

For 100% paper-yarn products, potential end-of-life routes include repulping and biodegradation under suitable conditions. Blended products should be treated according to their full fibre composition and local waste systems.
